RBGCD2016 Reflection of May 10th 2016 by Priyangshu Bishayee
Thank you for the opportunity for participating in the Raj Bhowmik Global Compassion Day 2016.
For RBGCD May 10th we had gone to Margadarshi . It is a training center for disabled people . When we reached there I saw many people in wheel chairs. We took everyone outside & did a small candle light peace march .
After the March , there was a slum behind the center & many children were there.so, we bought many chocolates & gave it to the disabled people to give it to the children . The disabled people felt very good after serving the poor . As we went back to the center we all settled down & they told us about their experiences . One person on the wheel chair was very excited about this & told that she will try & go to the RBGCD Web site also . Then all of us sat down together & had cake . Thats it. I also felt very good .
My mother did not want to send me to the event but I forcefully went .
My team members were Uday Uncle , Shridhar Uncle & others .
They didn't treat me like small baby . Shridhar Uncle had his children & Yuthika was also there . They also served along with everyone .
Love,
Priyangshu

RBGCD2016 reflection from a Lead Volunteer about Priyanghu's Volunteering
As a RBGCD TEAM member, he is extremely focussed at any task given to him with fantastic comprehension and understanding skills of the job required. He is able to perform that with precision and comes back to report the outcome till task is completed.. He is completely a wonderful Team player to work with. He has shown extreme endurance and stamina and love for RBGCD that is one of its kinds in the last 6 years from children of his age.Priyangshu is one of the first children to show exemplary Team spirit in RBGCD in 6 years from our Centre. He reported to the Centre at 8.00 and refused to go home with his family but cried as he wanted to stay back in Centre and engage with Centre Work. This helped him in engaging with 3 more venues.
Priyangshu has an all round personality that can mould him into any space of Volunteering as he is swift with mechanical work - At the Reception Desk, Stacking, Pushing wheel chairs being the runner boy. He is a gift to the RBGCD TEAM from our Founder and has come here at the right time of grooming for Global Social Work.Priyangshu shows diversity in Performance - working with Men, working with women, working with Handicapped people, safety issues while handling equipments - lighting candles or handling fragile equipments.
