Yes! All of us will be proud to know that one among us, an RBGCD LEAD Volunteer, is part of an international research team for developing a vaccine for COVID-19. The project has reached the final stages and good news that the world is waiting for is expected soon. The project was one of the first in the world to enter human trials, and has now successfully entered phase II.
Trials are currently being pursued to determine the dosage and other crucial aspects for human use. The company plans to manufacture 1 Billion doses which would be enough for one eighth of the world’s population. The research project is aimed at inducing the body’s cells to make virus like proteins that stimulate an immune response.
